For those of you that do not know, I am doing a revamped, modernized version of the 1911 novel "Peter Pan." The premise is that a hundred years ago, the Neverland was the place Barrie described--but now, after a century of war, space exploration, comics, and the unfortunate decade of the 80's, children's minds are filled with rather different imaginings. Wendy is fat RPG dork, her Hispanic stepbrothers are named Juan and Miguel, the Indians are now ravers, the mermaids are androgynous goths, Hook's crew are a grunge band, and Smee is a fag, among other adjustments.

ANYWAY...

In the original "Peter Pan" by James M. Barrie, the Lost Boys wore the skins of animals from the woods, because Peter did not allow anyone to look too much like him. In my version, Peter still has this rule and it is strictly enforced, but the magic of the Neverland warps the boys so that the animal skins become a part of them, and they grow other characteristics to fit the skins. (Somewhere I said all my anthros were genetically engineered, but I lied--I forgot about them.)

This is the lineup, a quick doodle I did a couple months ago and just realized I had not posted. Ostensibly, this is the place where they realize they just shot Wendy and that Peter is probably going to literally kill at least one of them, if not more. Their species might change later, except for Curly, who was inspired and partially designed by fan art from .
